Anyone ('Puta?) able to tell me how to configure this to work with a 2mb connection. The choices i am given are either 1.5 or 3?

Good question. You could try both and see which gives the better results.

I would say the best place to try for an answer would be the above place. I've looked through there a few times and there are some very knowledgeable people there when it comes to tweaking broadband settings.
