Hi! Can somebody please explain why i get the blue screen and my pc restarts when i try to watch game trailers (trailer loads at the start and than ...) . It`s just on one web page. Don`t know if i can name it. I try to disable my antivirus and firewall and it`s the same. I did an antivirus scan with nod and kaspersky and spyware with spy bot and nothing was found. It`s not a big deal i don`t have to use that page. Im just worried that it is something serious.
Can anyone give me some advice please. Thanks!

Could it be a codec problem? What codec pack are you running and where are you getting the video clips from? Also what media player are you using to view them in?

I dont think it`s a codec problem couse i have no problems watching it on any other web pages. I use the latest k-lite codec pack. I`m getting them from gametrailers.com. But on gamespot.com i can watch them with no problem. I use windows media player to watch them trough firefox.

Thanks, ok I clicked on the COD3 High Def video and all worked fine, I notice a lot of flash on the site, how do you control flash on your browser? Also check how your browser handles NEW WINDOWS as I notice that happens too.
Do you use Firefox? Have you the latest version of Flash for Firefox and ensure you have the latest version of WMP.
Failing that you could try removing the k lite codec pack and using divX (a suggestion not a clear solution)

It works now. But i dont know why? I uninstalled kaspersky 6.0 beta yesterday and now im using avast free (wich i absolutley LOVE). But now i completed installation of wmp 9 couse i have reinstalled my windows xp if u remember last time we talked about my connection. I noticed that i didnt had the complete intalation of wmp, i tought that happens with windows installation but i guess it didn`t. Now i dont know wich one to blame. It was probably WMPs fault. But im keeping avast anyway:)
Thanks for the help Mouse. I wouldn`t go looking in the WMP if you didn`t mention it.

Glad to have helped. I forgot about your reinstall of XP to be honest. I would advise on upgrading WMP, when you get the chance, just create a restore point before doing so, to be on the safe side.
On a side note, I notice that PC isn't mentioned as a format for COD3, that narks me off big time!

Yes i`ll upgrade my WMP.
It`s a shame that cod3 won`t be for PC. So they say on game spot. But I would probably need a super computer to play that. I would need a lot of cash to stay in the game. But for cod maybe it`s worth it. Or i`ll try to trade my old xbox for x360

They should still release it for PC though! Perhaps I'll have to trade in too

That would be a great idea, I have just done the same (only with a PS2) and the xbox 360 is great, definitely worth it, not sure about paying £50 for games mind, I think eBay may be getting more use from me!!!
