I signed up with euro1.net a few weks ago. I am on their 1mb package which costs £10 per month.
Suprisingly the connection is pretty good and for £10 per month it is well worth it.
I was paying £19.99 with v21.co.uk for 512k but now I get double the speed for half the price, the only bad thing is that you have to pay two years in advance but as long as you pay on your credit card you can at least get some money back should it fail, Hopefully it will not fail but you can never be certain!
I am very happy with the service

A two year commitment to buy broadband from the same vendor seems quite a long time to me. Very good price though The_DADDY

I'm glad I paid with my credit card-
Notice of Termination of Service Close Window Please note that this is not a fault; your broadband service has been re-directed to this webpage by BT Wholesale and you will not be able to navigate your web service beyond this page. Your current broadband service provider is Advanced Data Services (Europe) Limited (trading as Euro1Net). Advanced Data Services (Europe) Limited (trading as Euro1Net) delivers your service via a BT Wholesale product.
BT Wholesale has stopped providing a service to Advanced Data Services, due to the non-payment of invoices. This means that your broadband service has also ended.
We are now working to ensure you are able to order a new broadband service with a provider of your choice as soon as possible. The technical process should be completed by Tuesday 5th September 2006, at which time you will be able to order a new service. You will not be able to order a new broadband service until this technical process has completed.
Please do not contact BT Wholesale as we will not be able to assist you further. BT Wholesale does sympathise with the situation that you find yourself in, but this is a matter between you and Advanced Data Services.
Thank you.

That really sucks! It's not your fault or the fault of any users of Euro1.net that they didn't pay their bills. It's bad that you'll be deprived of your BB service until at least 5th September. Sometimes I'm glad I'm on dial-up (but not often)! Madeline.

That's a bad thing but I suppose it just confirms the old adage - if it looks too good to be true then it probably is. I wonder how many more cheap and chherful ISPs will do a runner after they've got your money up front.
Interesting that the one everyone moans about for being to expensive - BT - just seems to keep on going, offering the service it says it will. Perhaps they've got their pricing right after all.

You're right about BT. I know I'm on dial-up and their charges are higher than other ISPs, but they give a good service. I get a few unexpected disconnections, but that happens sometimes when I'm talking on the phone too. If I can ever get BB, I'll stay with BT although their support can be poor. They reply to e-mail queries quickly, but don't actually answer the question they were asked! Their telephone support isn't all that good either, unless you make a fuss and demand to speak to a manager. Madeline.

Hello there I'm new to this, but my Dad is with euro1net and cannot get even that message that was posted on here about termination of services. His credit card firm say they need that statement as proof of termination of services before they can re-credit his card the £200, he only signed up 7 weeks ago. They said someone else had managed a screen capture for it...... so why don't they accept that screen capture for my Dad? Anyway I need to get that for him, so in a long winded way mr handyman, where do I go to get that original statement from bt wholesale about the termination business. Please help. kind regards Mellonie-dawn

Sorry for the late reply, but I have no broadband connection any more!
If you still need the termination notice PM me as I have it saved on my computer, I can upload it to my server and you can print it off from there.
Hope this helps

It looks like the ned of the road for Euro1.net, this is the last e-mail that I received from them-
Important Customer Notice: Advanced Data Services has ceased trading. Dear Customers, Despite our communications with a number of ISP's who were interested in taking our users and or our company as a going concern, it is with great regret and sadness that we have to report that our talks have proved fruitless. The recent actions of BT disconnecting the majority of our customers on the 21st August 2006 with no notification that they were going to do so on that date and the frenzied inaccurate media reporting which quickly followed, have had a dramatic impact on our business. As a direct consequence of the media speculation and negative publicity, other suppliers and service providers including our bank have all now withdrawn their services. This means that our current financial obligations can no longer be met. As we are now unable to meet our financial obligations we have had no alternative but to make the difficult decision to make our very loyal staff redundant. Since BT disconnected our users, we have been working tirelessly under difficult circumstances to try and reconnect all our customers to alternative suppliers. However, as we were prevented by BT from generating Migration Authorisation Codes (MAC's) which not only meant our customers would be without service for longer, but also meant that any possible reconnections with an alternative supplier would have cost around 300% more to connect each customer as a new connection, than they would have done as a migration. These additional costs proved too much to bear for us and the potential buyers of our company who would have needed to pay BT Wholesale an additional £160,000 in connection fees. We would like to apologise to all our customers and would like to thank them for the support that has been offered during this difficult period. As we have ceased trading and can no longer provide a service to our customers, all customers will be free to connect with another provider of their choice. If in doubt, please contact BT for information on whether your line is clear of our service. We shall be making a formal complaint to Ofcom concerning the way BT conducted the termination of our customers' service, the impact that this in turn had on our customers and our company as a whole. We look forward to their findings. From the staff at Euro1Net
