Just completed what is about the 5th or 6th incarnation of my website... Basically just family info, just wanted some feedback on the design really, I have gone through many design alterations from sites with loads of pictures, buttons, links etc. This time I have tried to keep everything as simple as possible. I have had 3 or 4 hosts, most recently moved from Bravehost to Google Pages so it should give you an idea of what's on offer there too....
It's nice and clean, but I wouldn't have the navigation menu jumping around like it does. Keep all the links in order. You can just remove the link from the text rather than remove the whole menu item. It makes for confusing navigation.
The navigation box was intended to scroll so the last link visited would be at the bottom & the next one at the top... however I was in two minds about this once the page went live. I see now how this can be confusing and you cant really tell people what order to view pages in. I will change this before I start emailing the site to friends
