If I try to listen to the Radio over the Internet, although I can connect to the radio station and listen, it then becomes impossible to do anything else on line as I am using some much resource, pages freeze, take ages to load etc
This only happens when I am using firefox and not with AOL. I prefer to use firefox when browsing as it’s much quicker.
Is there something within firefox I can tweak so that I ca browse and listen at the same time.
As I mentioned earlier my ISP is AOL and I am on their 1meg tariff.

How much stuff have you got running in the background? Have you tried startup inspector this can tell you if you really do need a programme to start with the PC. this may give you the extra RAM so you can surf and listen. Also it may be the station you are listening to needs a higher connection speed than you have e.g 56k, 512k , it may need 1Mb connection I have a 512K connection speed and sometime suffer with very slow download of pages with certain stations and with other stations don't notice a drop at all.
