Hi All
I want to copy a lot of data (several Gb's) from one laptop (running XP/SP2 - Home Edition) to another running XP/SP2 professional Eddition). What is the easiest way to do this ? Do I need a special cable or s/w ?
Any help someone can give would be appreciated.
Thanks
Bill

Probably the cheapest and easiest is to get an ethernet crossover cable. Join the two together via their respective ethernet ports and then go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, Network Connections. Choose the New Connection Wizard and then 'Set up an advanced connection'. You will need to enable File and Printer Sharing and then share out a directory to allow access from the other PC. You may also need to disable any firewalls you have set up.
