OE unable to send email
      #27019 - Thu Dec 04 2003 11:19 PM

Hi Everyone,

We're running an ICS network with BT Broadband, both laptops can 'see' and interact with each other.

The problem is with both email's. Both can receive emails from our account however neither can send. The client one comes up with the following error in Outlook Express when trying to send: -

Connection refused from [host ip address] , port 25, server error: 421, error number 0x800CCC67

Disabled Norton's firewall but to no avail, if anyone has any advice that would be great

Many thanks in advance

Amanda

A search of that error number brings up this explanation: -

0x800CCC67 SMTP_421_NOT_AVAILABLE Command not available.

Probably not a great deal of help but it might.

Joe.
"Computer Help" is about as big a lie as "the cheque is in the post."

Hi,

Thank you so much for the help, the only thing is that I don't seem to have the Exchange Server program to be able to go in and change the numbers. Any idea's about this one?

Sorry to be a pain

Amanda
