eBay sniper
      #269652 - Sat Mar 25 2006 09:27 AM

Can someone let me know which ebay sniping software won the Gold Award in the reviews in the latest issue (have lost mine) .. I remember it was well rated by Webuser as it was cheap for the occassional sniper.

Great word that... "sniper" .. isn't it!

It was Auction Sniper
You pay per auction you are successful on, making it suitable for the occasional buyer.

Hmmm...just looked at that site..you have to give them your eBay username AND password. That would be fair enough if it was a secure site, but it isn't. No little padlock at the bottom of the page. I realise if they are going to snipe for you, they need your password but I would never give mine out without it was a secure site.

Some people make a game from it, I think it can become an obsession. Set your limit on what you want to buy and do it the tradditional way.

thanks for your help guys .. the traditional way is great fun if you've access when the auction closes. And for the moments you're not, snipe it!

Now when you're up against another sniper.. that's when things get interesting!

Doesn't always mean that the site isn't secure though.
