I have a Legacy Audio controller and when I go to the device manager it isnt recognizing the multimedia audio controller, it shows a big yellow question mark on it. I guess I need to get a new driver but how do I do that with out a cd or disk?
Go into the device manager first, Start > Control Panel > System > Hardware tab > click on Device manager. Find your device with the yellow question mark, right click and then click on update driver. See if that finds it first.
If you cant identify your audio chip then open your case if your confident with doing that, look on your motherboard for the maker and model number of the mobo it will be something like "MSI kt880d" or similar and then use that model number to find the audio driver you need from the manufacturers website.
