2nd Request for help - I recently started to use Pipex adsl with my win XP pc. Most days, I can connect & stay online for hours at a time, but then, for no apparent reason, both Outlook & IE behave as if the connection has dropped (can't refresh/change page or send/receive) but the connection is still active. Disconnecting then reconnecting doesn't cure it. Closing then reopening Outlook & IE doesn't cure it. The only way to continue seems to be to restart the pc! Pipex have checked & say the connection is fine & the problem is at my end. Any suggestions?.....

Have you checked that you have filters attached to all extensions?

Pipex are having problems right now. I'm with Pipex also. They mention something on their network status page.
I'm on extreme3 and I occasionaly have this problem, especially the last couple days, but hopefully this planned maintenance will sort it.

Sorry for the delay.
It seems strange that you can go for days without trouble then all of a sudden this happens. To be honest I think your TCP/IP settings will be alright because if there was a problem with them this would be there all the time.
Nevertheless, work your way through this and see if you can solve your problem. If not come back and we'll delve deeper.
