I use Version 5 but I do have Version 6 as well. What is your problem, it's best to post your message in here rather than PM, as there may be loads of others who can help if I can't.

If I c/o CD Copier, insert scource and destination disk, it still asks me to insert them and "copy" button is greyed out.
Then I tried Soundstream but "Record" button, although red, nothing happened when I clicked it.
Then I c/o "Make a music CD" music cd project and it seems to work ?.
My friend recently told me to upgrade from 5 to 5.35 which I did and went on for driver and he said to go to file/check but I could not see that option.

What kind of CD are you trying to copy? A music CD or an actual program? I know that if it's not an "original" CD (except for a music one), Roxio doesn't like it very much and won't let you progress.

No. He did say audio CD, Hello There.
I suspect that "Hello There" is rather more experienced at this sort of thing than I am Gudda, but they do say two minds are better than one.
You don't say exactly what you're trying to do or how many CD drives you've got. Are you using the "Copy" function with just one drive? That should work, but only having the one drive myself and not trusting technology to do what I expect of it, I prefer to use Windows Media Player to copy to my HD first before burning to a blank CD-R.
I'm still on Easy CD Creator 4, but I do have version 6 sitting here waiting to be installed when I can get my round tuit to work.
You don't say how far you're getting, but one possibility is that you're not closing (or finalising) the disc. Have you checked all your settings immediately before the burn? If it's left "open" it will only play on your PC and not on a separate CD player.
I agree that the forum is the best place to get this sorted. That way you'll get more help, and others will learn something too.

Ooops, should have put my glasses on Barney LOL. When I copy an audio CD (using Creator 5 Platinum) - 1. Put CD in E Drive. 2. Click on Make a Music CD - select Music CD Project. 3. Highlight all the tracks, then drag them to Add Tracks & Audio Files Here. 4. Press File / Create CD Hard Disk Image, name it and put into My Docs (or wherever you choose). 5. Once finished, take the CD out, put a blank CD in E Drive. Click on File / New CD Project (to start afresh). 6. Click on File / Record CD from CD Image - select the project you've just put on your hard disk from My Docs (or wherever) - and press Start Recording. 7. After it's finished, you get a choice of Closing the CD etc.
Hope that makes sense to you, but I typed this whilst going through the process! I used to record from CD to CD (using D and E drives) but found this a better way. Good Luck and how did I do there Barney?? LOL

Looks good to me, "Hello There". I've never done it that way though, not having as much faith as you in the machinery getting it right.
The important thing is that the CD has to be properly closed before it can be used in a CD player, as opposed to a computer. If it's left "open", more tracks can be added (if there's room), but it can only be played on a PC until it's closed.
Hope we've sorted your problem out, Gudda. If not, come back with as much information as you can and we'll have another go.

Surprisingly, I find it quicker to record that way, and if you need to copy the same CD twice, even quicker! Although of course, it takes up quite a lot of space on my comp so I would delete from the comp after a couple of days. Also I found I wasted too many CDs if, for some unknown reason, it crashed mid-recording (which happened a few times on Version 4).

Jeff, did you update your version via the internet as I have never updated Roxio this way. I only upgrade if I have a new version on CD (if it ain't broke etc.........!). What I would personally do first, if I was you, is to uninstall and reinstall using your original disk and carry on using the version you already had, cos it obviously used to work perfectly for you. Try that first - good luck. Re: disk copier - what kind of disk are you trying to copy please?
