Draft for new website
      #256826 - Thu Jan 26 2006 08:02 PM

I recently purchased a hosting package, and domain name from Supnames, and have been busy creating a new website.

It's called the Rotkiv files, basicaly my real Christian name in reverse. Its more of a personel website on which I can host some videos, pictures and so on.

Click to enter site

It is in it's very early stages, and I have uploaded the first couple of pages. The only link from the front page that works is the videos link. 2 short videos about 8 seconds long are available, plus one which is 7 minutes. All my own footage.

I know of a couple of problems at the mo from feedback from friends.

As I said, it is in the early stages, and will be added to over time during any spare time I have. Let me know what you think, ta

I use Firefox and the rollover link buttons do not display properly. Also the text is indistinct due to the large background image.

Good luck with you site, I hope to get it finished, let us know. It can be really frustrating getting a site to display properly in all browsers. I once had a problem with my homepage, in Opera it was about four pages wide and an inch or so deep but was fine in IE, Firefox and Netscape. The problem, an extra > in the code.

All the best - Nacnud

Well done for making a start, my site is always work in progress but thats because i update four or five times a day. I would say make the buttons clearer, hovering over the button hides the text but brings up the word video each time. The picture would have more effect if you made it smaller and clearer. I know the emphasis is on speed but the picture loses its effect by being too big.
Good start! its a learning curve!
