Colour Scheme
      #2457 - Tue Jul 08 2003 06:52 PM

Hi! I'm a 14yo wannabe web-developer, and am currently working on the 2nd version of www.games-realm.com for a client(friend) of mine. However, some of my mates have given me a bit of critisism about the new colour scheme for the site in progress. You can find a basic version of the index page a www.games-realm.com/owlix/index.php . Any opinions would be greatly helpful, as I want improve the UI via feedback. (I won't be as dramatic as Macromedia were when designing their new site though, if anyone knows what I mean!). Thanks again,
Alex

Hi Alex,

As far as the colour scheme is concerned, the background does tend to obscure your white text. The blues aren't too bad, but they are slightly pale against the green.

However, what I would suggest is setting your page up so that it can be viewed on an 800x600 monitor (which is still the most popular resolution out there) so folk don't have to scroll side-ways to see the whole page. You might consider making the page expand for those with higher resolutions!

Otherwise, keep it up, and keep us informed on your progress

I think that TFC is suggesting that you use a percentage width in your tables rather than a pixel width, and if it isn't, I do
