Hi all. Long time no post. I cleverly spilled iced tea all over my laptop and had to send it to Dell for a new motherboard. Now that it's back, I can't connect to my wireless portal anymore. I have spent 6 hrs. on the phone with about 6 different departments, but it only gets worse. I was told to download 2 different things, but I know that at least one of them only caused more problems. I was told that my motherboard and hard drive may not be coordinated anymore as related to my built in wireless driver. I have an intel proset 2200. I get two different desktop pop-ups. One says No Resources Available, and the other says something like Unable to Load GUMgrResourceDLL. Both alerts are related to my wireless system. Help!!!
I sent a hijack this log in, and it was declared OK.

Hi
I've just had a look at your HJT log and it shows a whole pile of software running at startup that is related to your wireless setup. There's one entry
O4 - Global Startup: 2Wire Wireless Client Manager.lnk = ?
that doesn't seem to be pointing anywhere. I wonder if that has anything to do with it?
The other thought that springs to mind is the fact that you've had a new motherboard but presumably not a new hard disk. I'm wondering if some of the built in hardware on the MB needs some updated software before things will work properly.
Have you tried getting a BIOS update or any software updates from Dell? It might be an idea to uninstall all the old wireless related software and get the latest version. If it doesn't clear out properly we could use HJT to remove the entries before putting the new stuff in.

Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.

Well, just for the heck of it, I deleted that item in the hj log, but nothing changed. The Dell folks did have me download updating stuff twice....I think the first stuff was corrupted, because that's what started the pop-up alerts. Anyway, to add to the mystery, I actually can use the wireless system now after clicking some different things while using USB. Unfortunately, it doesn't automatically connect again if I turn off and then on, and I can't remember what I clicked, although it was something to do with connections.
