A friend of mine is wanting to get a 802.11g wireless modem/router that can allow him to connect to his 56k dialup from anywhere in the house using his laptop, and be able to transfer files between his laptop and desktop PCs. He cannot get broadband at all because his premises is classed as being owned by a business (he is the manager of a pub and lives directly above it).
Does such an item actually exist? The only one I've found is BT's own one but (1) it doesn't appear to be 802.11g, and (2) I believe it is discontinued.
Note: I have noticed one that uses bluetooth and I'm going to suggest that to him if we cannot find a 802.11g one, but preferably he would like an 802.11g one instead.
Regards.

Have a look at this. It seems to be a wireless access point with both dial-up and broadband modem built in.

Do you know that we're all in line for succession to the throne? Really?
Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.
