Hi, new user here on this forum, and I really need to know something. I have an ntl broadband connection (1mb), but I want to be able to use my laptop around the house. I do not have a main pc, only a laptop. My dad stole a wireless Notebook Network Card from his work (g wireless), so all I need now is a Wireless Router/Modem. My question is do all Wireless Modems/Routers work with ntl connections, or do they just specifically work with bt phone lines?
Are there any Modems/routers that work well with the psp?
Also if possible could you recommend a particularly good modem/router, thank you very much!!

I hope not!
Your existing NTL Modem will use a cat 5 cable to connect to the router, and the Belkin F5D7230 should be more than sufficient

Thanks a hell of a lot for the advice, I was afraid I was going to be flamed for asking such a basic question (too used to using video game forums ovbiously). By the way, all I use is a laptop, so I take it I wouldn't need another computer to be able to build the wireless connection?
PS:Well, it wasn't stealing really. The school he worked for gave it to him for his work computer, but he is a PE teacher, and therefore cannot use/comprehend computers in any way shape or form (joking).
Also, are you sure this will work with my psp? Do I have to buy this CAT 5 cable to connect it elsewhere, or is it included?

Flaming around here is not tolerated here and certainly not for asking questions.
As long as you know your wireless networks WEP key, (which you should do if you set it up ), you should be able to get the PSP online, with very few problems.
You will need two cat5 cables, one of which will come with the router. That will go from the PC initially to set up the router, and the second will permanently link your router to your modem
I hope that your PC "illiterate" father doesn't catch your remarks, or you'll be looking at a week long internet ban lol

So, would that mean that i would be best off borrowing a secons cat5 cable from a mate, as I only have to use it once? Thanks again for your help.
Also, found almost an identical router, but from play.com (want to buy from here as I already know the service and free p&p) it has the same title, but a different picture: http://www.play.com/play247.asp?pa=searc...amp;page=search

Hope you're paying for it not your dad. They seem a bit on the expensive side, overall, your perogative though Networking cables of 1m are normally about £1.50 not the £3 they charge

Holy crap. My dad is a computing genius! I just found one in the drawer: "Dad, where the hell did you get this?" "I just picked it up at work, thought it might be useful for something"

That's you doing the washing up for a week then, and a complete reappraisal of your father's skills
