Bulldog Broadband
      #238457 - Tue Nov 15 2005 12:03 PM

I am moving in the next week so will be looking into getting a new broadband supplier. I was with Pipex but after a whole load of farce (which has left me on dial up!!) I will be looking for a new one!

After looking around I like the deal Bulldog are offereing (8 meg plus phone line & 2 months free). However I have heard bad things about Bulldog in Web User so would appreciate any feedback from you guys as to whether they have improved their service or should I avoid them at all costs?

I've just signed up to Bulldog Broadband.
I can't get the 8MB service as our exchange is not enabled with it yet.
I've settled on their 2MB service in the interim.
So far so good, good service, good product, no complaints to date.
£19.50 / month for first 6 months, then £24.50 / month.
Looks like I'm getting speeds of around 2.33MB with no disconnections yet.
Certainly better than my previous 512kb with Freeserve.

repsol...i too was going to migrate from a 512 talk talk deal to a 2 meg bulldog deal. apparently they could offer me that speed on their line as opposed to my maximum speed on my bt line of 512. i cancelled my order as i was concerned at all the negative press bulldog had received earlier this year and decided if it ain't broke why try and fix it. talk talk may not be the fastest but it is reliable.

i'm really interested to know, how significant the speed increase is in everyday use. ie surfing and streaming of videos and also live streams. in short is it worth me taking a chance on the service. once bulldog install i'll lose my bt line, which is a worry if things go pear shaped.

Why are Bulldog advertising on the TV for 8meg at £9.75 per month but Repsol is being charged over £10 more?

Dunno, haven't seen the add.

Could it be it's from (£9.75) and up to (8mb)?

I cannot be sure but I think the £9.75 is the BB you have to take their phone service at £10.50 a month to get the BB
