Hi Wildthing - I'm confused: what AOL service costs £34.99 a month?
(I'll also move this thread to Broadband once you've replied)

When i used AOL Dial-up they had 2 prices for Broadband, one was £27.99 and the other was £34.99, the difference between them was that the higher priced offering included 0808 dial-up access, the cheaper price didn't.

No it included 0808 dial-up access, which you could use if your broadband line went down, or you could use it from a different location using a laptop for example at your mates house.

right, got it now. I don't think a lot of people would take up that option and extra expense.

Yikes.
When I had AOL Broadband (when it was called AOL Plus), I used to pay £39.99 per month.
How times have changed.

a while back i needed to phone aol. after sorting out my problem they offered me broadband{ which is being set up in our area in february } 512k for £19.99.which is only £4.00 more than im paying for dial up, ok aol is not everyone favourite but i could resist it at that price.

YeP, I agree AOL BB for 19.99 a month is a bargan.
I was using AOL dial up, which I found to be too slow, I called AOL to cancel and move to Tiscali BB (because it was cheaper than the advertised AOL BB service) and they offered me the BB sevice for 19.99 per month.
