First time use I have Plus.net BB with Voyager 205 router on USB connector All has been working well until this week Just discovered my phone line not working - no dial tone, and cant phone out or receive calls Yet internet connection still working OK Checked splitters - all connected Still nothing Is it this freak weather - or me ?

Hi, I am assuming that you have a normal phone line and not cable etc!
If you find the master socket in your house (this is the first socket that is connected to the outside telephone line). The front of the master socket has 2 screws, remove the screws and remove the front of the cover, there you will see a test socket, which your phone will plug into.
Plug a phone that you know is working into that socket and if it does not work it is a problem with your telephone providers line. If the phone does work then it is a problem with either a phone/ phone socket or phone cable in your home that is faulty!

Many thanks Now I know at least that it is not a problem with the provider line, as the test phone worked Strangely enough, I discovered today that the same thing happened to my neighbour last week too Her boradband was OK, but the phone wasnt ?Freak weather ??
