Right, I've got a Belkin wireless adapter. I've set it up to the phone line, and it works fine. My laptop and PDA can use it without fail-brilliant.
I tried to connect my PC that's virtually right next to the router by a crossover network cable. I plugged it into the PC's network port, and the routers network port. Then, a light came on on the Router. It was labeled 'LAN 1'. Good. So, I booted the PC, and the little icon in the system tray said 'Local Area Network Connected', along with the little screens. So far so good. I typed in the network address for my router, and..... it couldn't be found. Damnit.
Any ideas guys? I mainly want this so I can play LAN games with my son, me on the laptop and him on the PC. The game is LAN compatible, but if the PC can't see the router, i doubt it will work.
