all too common-broadband/router problems.

I know theres umpteen^10 of these threads, and it's annoying seeing new ones spring up all the time but i've searched and I really can't find anything of use.

Basically, it goes as follows:

I have an NTL cable modem.
I have a safecom SWBR-5400 router, which claims to be supported by ntls modems.

I want to use the router to connect my desktop and laptop wirelessly.

I set up the router wired through ethernet as instructed, then when I switch to wireless I can still access the router without a problem (though sometimes it randomly cuts me off..) but I can't access the net - I've reset the router and the modem in all 2 possible combinations, I've set the router to Dynamic for finding the IP the ISP assigns, i've went through just about everything I can think of but nothing works at all, as far as finding support from ntl (as clearly everyone knows, they're useless and even refuse to give any assistance for their 'non-supported' routers, and safecom (which yes, i'm regretting saving money on) are pretty bad too and I just can't get any useful support). So, I ask, what do I try now? anyone have a safecom that they managed to get working?

thanks.

also, wierd 'story' about the belkin wireless card I installed on my desktop (same day as the router), occasionaly when I switch my PC on, it works, and other times it just plain doesn't - doesn't seem to even be there - and for ages I tried reinstalling the belkin software, restarting in various combinations but everytime I tried to open the belkin config program it flashed up on screen then closed on its own, then suddenly it started working.. no, I'm not complaining but I was also wondering if anyone's experienced anything like this and could suggest a possible reason?

thanks again.
