Hi - any chance u can help? I'd really appreciate any help anyone can give me. My new laptop (i've had it 5days) was working perfectly - i love it, until last night when it the internet (wireless connection) seemed to disappear from the face of the earth, well from my laptop anyway.
Now the Wireless Network Connection says "No wireless networks were found in range - Make sure the wireless switch on your computer is on. To see an updated list, click "Refresh network list."" In the Network connections It says "Not connected" - I've tried right clicking and selecting disable and then enable to get the radio to look for the connection but no success it still cant find it
I think its a broadcom internal wireless card - Fortune 802.11bg, i think. I'm working on Windows XP.
Any suggestions at all are welcome - let me know if you need more info.

I guess it was working and you haven't changed anything, updated firmware etc etc? Is the SSID broadcast enabled on your wireless AP/router ?
You try cycling the power on the AP but then I guess you have probably already tried that?
Have you checked the control panel (browser and or utility) of the AP/router to see if all is well and it is working.
