remove networks
      #230282 - Fri Oct 14 2005 09:07 PM

can anybody tell me in idiot format how to remove all old ad-hoc networks from my 2 pcs.
the reason for this is have a wireless connection to the pc upstairs and it keeps going down.
this seems to happen just after windows updates.
i can get a full connection showing on both pcs are connected but no internet on pc no 2.
i have had this same problem before but this time i cannot rectify it.
so i am gonna start from scratch.
but i would like to remove all old networks first.

Open your Control Panel | Network Connections | Delete the redundant connections.
Leave the Local area connection and the 1394 connection alone, you can't delete them, but it is possible to disable them.

thanks fusion.
but how do i delete the numbered connections at the moment i am on wireless connection number 9 or that is what it is called in the tray.
or do they delete themselves after i start a new one.
also do you have any ideas why i cant get the net on pc 2 i have double checked everyhing i can think off i have a full wireless connection showing but no internet on pc2.
i have tried system restore on both pcs as i had recieved a windows update the day it went down.
this did not help.
any advice would be good.
