Hi all!
I have just set up a wired home network using a netgear dg814 adsl router, two computers only and one with a usb printer attached
Anyone know how i can share this printer with the other conmputer, I tried the usual share options and made sure the network was set up on the MS wizard, But i doesnt show up when i try to add a printer.
Do i need some more hardware? ( printer server?? ))
Any help gratefull recieved coz the kids are driving me mad trying to print!!!!

Is the printer connected to one of the PCs or to the router?

As long as you have created a workgroup, shared the printer on the host computer (ie the computer that had the printer originally installed on) and made sure that both the pc and printer are turned, and installed the printer on the client pc, ie other pc
You may have to ensure that you have given your printer a name
So if your workgroup is MSHOME and the printer an epsonC42 for instance,
Add your printer, choose network printer, click connect to this printer and type in \\MSHOME\EpsonC42
Click Next and it should find your networked printer

Do you have a firewall installed on either PC?
