I have a dial up connection with talktalk and use their free web space for a website advertising my business. I would like to migrate to broadband but wouldn't want to use TalkTalk in view of feedback (although their dial up service has been excellent) Is it possible to use a new ISP for broadband yet keep my ISP dialup contract with Talk Talk.?

I presume your dial up connection with TalkTalk is a contractual service rather than PAYG as you have free web space. Yes you can have a separate Broadband account with a different ISP but you would need to continue to pay for your contracted dialup account as well as your Broadband account.

I can't get BB. Am I right in thinking that you can have more than 1 dial-up ISP? Madeline.

Madeline you can have as many dial-up ISPs as you like but unless you are using a PAYG service you will have to pay there standard monthly charge whatever that might be.

Slightly off-topic I know but I have ended up with two Broadband isps. I had to switch from AOL to BT (so I could connect with my office network from home) and at the last moment AOL offered me a very cheap Bring Your Own Access subscription, which enabled me to keep them for home use while using BT for work.
