(First posted on uk.internet.broadband with no success) My friend has been having a problem with his setup recently, he is on Wanadoo 512 ASDL. He has spoken with their help line and it get's fixed, next time he boots up he cannot connect etc, his settings remain unchanged. I have a feeling the problem lies with the software, so is their a way he can setup Wanadoo without using their software? Thankyou Baz

If your using XP, try going to:
Start | Connect to | Show all connections | Create new connection (top left of pane).
Follow the prompts of the New Connection Wizard | Next | Connect to the internet | Next | Set up my connection manually | Next | Choose your type of setup (perhaps 'Connect using a broadband connection that requires a user name and password') | Next | Call your connection something appropriate (its not too important, its only a name) | Next | Input your user information | Next | Its helpful to choose to add a short cut to your desktop | Finish.
The short cut you have just created on your desktop should now pop up a window asking for user name and password and an option to save.
You now should be able to connect this way.
