I have recenlty had the pc formatted and have now got microsoft outlook 2003 & outlook 6, what I am trying to do is find out if when you email someone if that email address can automatically be stored in the address book so the next time you put the first few letters of an email address in you get a few options appear of other sotred mail addess come up to choose from. Hope that makes sence, the reason for this is the wife is using AOL email only and I will soon be leaving them so I now have her using outlook but would like it so her address add in as she emails, the real name and other details are not important for the address book just the email.
Regards
Ian

In Outlook Express click on Tools, Options and choose the Send tab. Make sure you have a tick in the box against 'Automatically put people I reply to in my Address Book'.

Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.

The contacts in Outlook Express will only go into your address book if you are actually replying as in using the reply button, to a mail received by you.
There is however a way around this, once you've sent the mail, go into your sent folder, open the mail in question, Reply to the mail, but don't actually send anything. Cancel at that point.
The fact that you have actually pressed the Reply tab will enter the address into your address book (contacts).
In Outlook 2003 to add a contact whilst actually reading a received mail, right click the name at the top of the mail, select Add to Contacts.
The Contact dialog box appears with some information completed for you. Complete or edit the Full Name, Job Title, Company, Address, etc. You can use the tab key to quickly navigate between boxes.
Click Save and Close.
Hope that helps.
