Are you behind a firewall or are you on a network?

That's a coincidence I'm having Audio conversation problems as well but its OK when I turn off Zone Alarm. I'm not sure whether I'll have to change to Kerio or configure differently. I'm discussing it with Puta right now in the Multimedia thread.

but is it not safe to turn off firewalls, i dont think i would lke to leave my kids with the respnsibility of turning it on and off when they want to use the cam on msn, but again it works ok with yahoo

Sorry, I should have made myself clear, I'm not suggesting you leave your firewall off just merely that Zone Alarm, when turned on, is blocking my audio conversations. Obviously I'll either have to get another firewall or reconfigure Zone Alarm to work with MSN. As I said I'm discussing that right now with Puta.

Could it be that you need to allow the programme server rights? Just a thought.

HI Barney,

No that's not my problem but it might be that I've set the Internet Zone Security too high, I'm going to try reducing it to medium next time I use this facility.

from what i can gather if you have your security set above medium it can cause this kind of problem, drop it back to medium and it should be ok.
