I have just checked 2 ISPs as i was looking into getting a faster BB speed my ISP wanadoo say the fastest i can get is 1Mb yet freedon2surf say i could get up to 2Mb connection speed. How can there be a difference as both use the same exchange to supply the BB, is wanadoo trying to get me to pay £20 then maybe another £20 shortly after to get the 2Mb, or are freedom2surf trying to encourage me to join then tell me all i can get is 1MB. Isn't choosing the right BB package confusing and difficult?
0800 800 150 = BT Broadband Contact Centre. Tell them your problem, say one ISP reckons I can only get 1mbps whilst another ISP claims I can receive 2mbps. Ask them to explain why each differ and ask them to check the line. To be honest I can't understand why you can't get 2mbps, however I'm sure BT will be able to give you a real reson. Hey you might like them that much that you go with them instead.
hmmm i am sure i will get it...but even with my current 1mb connection i get speeds of like 100kb /s + .....btw which broadband companies have packages wihtout bandwidths!!!(usage caps)......cause i need unlimited broadband..aol is pretty expensive at 30 for 2mb....aany cheaper companies? with fast speeds
BT said i could only have 512k when i was with them and went to Pipex as they said i could have 2Mb, I was very confused!! Ive been with pipex a while on 2mb and get speeds of about 1900 kbps, which i presume is reasonable to good for 2mb service.
