Outlook mail problems with XP Home

Hi all,

Hope someone can help me as i'm tearing my hair out with this one.........i have xp home and microsoft outlook installed on my pc. everything works fine exept one thing...i have an imap mail account which keeps losing its connection to the smtp server when i try to send a mail with an attatchment. its fine when i send a normal mail. i've spoke to my isp support, pc support, dlink router support.....nobody can help........i have a laptop on the same network with exactly the same settings which works fine although that is xp pro...........look forward to your help.

did think that myself and have tried with 109kb file and does the same thing. either says it has lost connection or the connection has timed out...

not that either, i work from home for iomart internet who obviously host my mail and nobody else has any problems, also the connection works fine on my laptop with the same settings. the only difference is the laptop is xp pro and the pc with the problems is xp home
