How many firewalls have you got? Usually, only one is necessary or you can get conflicts. Anyway, don't go on-line without a firewall enabled, it's asking for trouble. Maybe there's a problem with your security settings. Which browser do you normally use?

Unfortunately, I've no experience of AOL, never having used it. Do you get the same problem if you use Internet Explorer?

AOHell's browser is just a skinned version of IE.

Have you been able to connect to these sites in the past?

You can try a couple of things that may, or may not, help.
Delete your cookies and temporary internet files.
Give a different browser a try. Firefox or Maxthon are popular on here.
* I'm not sure if Micro$oft sites will play nicely with a non-M$ browser *

Same as the BT Yahoo! browser then, as is Maxthon, that's based on IE too. It would be worth trying a completely different browser, such as Firefox, to see if you can access secure sites that way. On the whole, you can't do much with M$ programs on FF, but you can get Windows Updates on there now. Have a look here.

Have you noticed there's even an IE in scientist. Does Bill have no shame?

I'm not sure that Bill needs to have any shame. Have a look here. It was quite an eye-opener for me.

This isn't nasty for the sake of it but it may seem so.
With an estimated wealth of $46.6 billion in 2004, depending on the source, Bill Gates had almost enough money, last year, to match this.
Can you honestly say that any human being needs such wealth?
While you cannot undervalue the good that he has done, you can surely question the good that he has failed to do.

Apologies for this. It's nothing personal, just something that winds me up BIG TIME!

This is so far off topic that I will close this thread.

Do you know that we're all in line for succession to the throne? Really?
Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.
