AOL and Downloading Pictures

I have quite an annoying problem. I have been trying to download pictures (gifs, jpegs etc) When I try it through AOL and download to my pictures all as I get is a circle, square and triangle where the image should be. Now when I just try through internet explorer it works out fine! What am i doing wrong in AOL?

What version of aOL and windows are u using.?

Make sure the Save As is not set to .ART
set it to bmp or jpeg
