Outlook Express
      #200290 - Fri Jun 17 2005 11:49 AM

I had to send my computer back to be given a 'service' and now that I have had it back I've found that I've lost my Address Book for Outlook Express. Is there any way I can find it, as it has addresses of people I only contact via e-mail, and I don't have any other means of contact with them????

Isthere any way I can get these addresses back!!!???

The file you are looking for will have a .wab extension. Try searching your computer from Start | Search then type in *.wab searching my computer to see if you have an address book anywhere.
Click on the file if you find one to see if it holds any of the addresses that you are looking for, there will probably be the empty one you see when you open OE.

It sounds like the company that you sent the computer to has kindly erased your data. Providing that you have not used the hard drive much since getting it back try a search for file recoverey programes one like this PCI File recoverey.
Someone may come up with the idea of using a better one if you hang on a bit.

After you have, with fingers crossed, got back to the address book you once had use Outlook Express Backup a freebie to keep back up copies.

Best of luck
Marcus
