Hi
I don't know if anyone can help but I've just recently had great problems following any links from most web pages, and commonly receive a message saying 'scripting is desabled in your browser settings' or Javascript is disabled'.
But the Custom bit of security settings in IE Options shows:
Java VM, Java Permissions - High priority Allow scripting of Interent Explorer webbrowser control - Disabled Scripting, Active Scripting - Enabled Scripting of Java applets - Enabled
I've tried switching 'Allow scripting of IE webbrowser control' to enable, but makes no difference.
Does anybody have any suggestions? I've got windows xp with Sp2 & norton AV & IS 2004. Thanks

Hi,
sorry about this, but could I just check if no-ones been able to offer any suggestions because I've not given enough info, or if I've posted this in the wrong bit?
I still can't follow hardly any links from web pages, with messages that I have scripting disabled or javascript disabled, but in all the obvious boxes on IE it says it should be enabled. Could it be anything to do with Norton antivirus stuff?
I would be really grateful for any suggestions as its getting incredibly frustrated now. Thanks

My IE browser has the same defaults as yours, and works ok. Sorry if i cant help any further , hopefully someone may be along with some suggestions.
I dont use Norton , although i did have it installed a couple of years ago, as it was pre- installed on my pc. It was always giving me trouble, in the end i ditched it in favour of AVG and also Kerio personal Firewall.
