Hope I dont upset tesco.net too much with the rant I have just mailed to them, the background is that I ordered BB in Sept last year and have been promised every month since that it will be another 2-3 weeks, they emailed me today and I just had to reply, do you think I have gone too far??
the email is as follows:
Dear Tesco internet provider,
Thank you for your kind reminder that my card details are about to expire with this lovely and polite letter:
Dear Mr Paul XXXXXXX
Ref: Your Credit Card details are due to expire
Thank you for using Tesco.Net as your Internet Service Provider, we do hope you are enjoying the service.
Tesco.Net will endeavour to ensure that its customer's accounts are monitored to prevent any or as little disruption to their service as possible. With this in mind, it has been highlighted that your current credit card details, detailed below, are due to expire in the next month.

We ask that you make contact with us to update your payment records when you receive your new card details.

If you have any questions then please email us at, support@tesco.net
NOW LET ME REPLY IN KIND.
As for this part: Thank you for using Tesco.Net as your Internet Service Provider, we do hope you are enjoying the service.
NO I AM NOT ENJOYING ANY SERVICE FROM TESCO, despite repeated attempts since ordering broadband in September to get an honest answer to the reason why I have still no broadband connection, I have yet to get past the brazen deceptions that its someone elses fault, If tesco cant provide because BT cant work to a schedule then thats not BT`s fault its tescos fault for not getting on their case enough!
Then we get to the reason you wrote in the first place:

NO DOUBT THAT YOU WILL MONITOR MY ACCOUNT, because you stand to lose something and yes I know my card runs out soon, which I think is quite a lucky thing in a way as it will mean that you will have no way of accessing my account for a service that cannot be disrupted as it was never "rupted" in the first place.
Then you ask: We ask that you make contact with us to update your payment records when you receive your new card details.
DO YOU THINK THAT THIS IS A LIKELY OUTCOME?
The next part: You can change these details online by simply clicking on the following link -

I CAN ONLY CHANGE MY DETAILS on the www thanks to one of your competitors (freeserve) and I will do this just as soon as Scotland win the world cup.
So now for the umpteenth time I contact you in anticipation of some "service" but dont really expect much in reply other than the "C and A towel dept" amount of flannel I have had so far.
Yours,
Paul.

Seems fair enough to me. I think you were quite restrained under the circumstances. I'll be interested to know what, if any, response you get from them. Madeline.

Have to say I agree with everything you have said about them. I nearly joined them last October but cancelled after reading so many bad reviews. They have also sent me the same letter. I sent them an email but they have not responded. I am so glad I never set up with them. I think they should stick to selling food.
Cheers
Jack

Jack of all trades, master of none, apart from selling food, that is. Tesco I mean, not you, Jack! Madeline.
