I use it for my laptop in work,, I am going on holiday the 9th of may, and was thinking of taking my laptop with me, I use fast4 for my internet connection I pay monthly so I ring a freephone number could you tell me if I will be able to connect to the internet from Cornwall via a bt phone or a hotspot whatever that may be. Thanks

If it is a freephone number then you can use any BT telephone line to dialup. In a hotel you may find that you will have to insert a 9 and a comma before the t/p number of your ISP. This will get you an outside line and put a pause in the dial-up procedure which allows the hotel switchboard to connect to an outside line.

I have to ask - why would taking a works laptop on holiday make life better? Surely you wouldn't want to download your emails, would you?
