Ok I think I'm finally ready to show my baby
The website was set up for the school where I work a few years ago, but was, due to lack of time, very infrequently updated, some pages having 12-18 months out-of-date pictures/news etc. I was given the task just before Christmas of updating the site. I had precious little previous experience, I have a Freeserve/Wanadoo site which is basically links and photos/gifs which I use in postings etc. I have leaned as I have gone along, adding pages (I researched and made a page for the history of the school, which incidentally is the same one I attended as did my Dad), added new buttons, re-did the top & bottom photos etc, etc - never ending task One of the biggest tasks is coming up with quizzes for the things-to-do page, making them suitable for 4-11 year olds, don't blame me for the jokes - they are aimed at kids after all
This is a picture of the top section of the original home page:-

This is a link to the current site. Any comments suggestions would be most welcome, thanks.

I can't offer any suggestions, but I liked the site. It was interesting, informative and easy to navigate. I imagine the staff, parents and pupils find it a great asset, even the jokes! I think you're doing a grand job. Madeline.

I like your site Shirazee,
May I suggest you put a link to the latest ofsted report for parents of existing pupils and prospective pupils ...I know these reports can be found else ware on the web, but it makes a nice package for anyone researching the school.
Here is the link http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/reports/index.cfm?fuseaction=summary&id=119617
Nice to see you have had a special award from the government in 2002...well done.

Very nice site Linda, you should be proud of yourself for producing something so good. Easy to navigate as well as having some very interesting things to do. Liked the quizes, if I get some time will try and do something for you in the same type of format. Just a thought...there have been a couple of interesting sites put on this forum over the last few months one an animal drawing site HERE and the other maybe for older children HERE maybe you could link to these....Anyway good luck and well done.

Thanks everyone for your feedback I've added a link to the Ofsted report on the info page (thanks Miss_Creant for doing the searching for me, it was something I thought of a while back, but then forgot all about it ). Thanks Pete for those links, I'll have a look. The site is very much a work in progress, everyone at school cringes when I go walkabout with my camera I've several photos lined up just waiting to be included. I'm trying to the the kids more involved, maybe posting some of their work, but they're not very forthcoming Some of the older girls are interested in finding out more and now I've got my laptop I can take it in and let them have a go, maybe then they may wish to contribute more. Thanks again for the ideas
