I opened finally got round to downloading the updates for BT Yahoo browser this morning, after being notified on the 14th. All I can say, is bye bye Firefox! I have always liked the BTYahoo browser, but now they have added a few tweaks, including tabbed browsing I think it's the best around. Add to this their Launchcast radio and it's perfect (for me, anyway).
I am one of those that believe Firefox will one day be a bigger target for hackers, than anyone thinks. I was only using it for the tabs, but now I feel more comfortable with this one.

Really? How did you get the updates? I've got the BT Yahoo! browser and I'd love to have tabbed browsing on it. Madeline.

They sent me an email, but I didn't really look at it till a week later. The download was over nine megabytes though, but well worth it as it is my favourite browser. I will try to dig out the link for it later.

Hmmm! That's quite a big download with me on dial-up. All the same, I'd be interested to see that link if you can post it. In the meantime, I'll stick with Maxthon or Firefox for my tabbed browsing. Madeline.

I must have deleted the email after upgrading, but this link may help http://help.yahoo.com/uk/bt/browser/

i wouldnt be so fast to download the bt yahoo browser......its huge.....i have had to diable many background running programs as the browser just kept freezing leaving me to either sign out and in again or, worse, having to reboot.......my laptop has a p4 processor, 1gig of ram and an 80 gig hard disk of which only 15 is used so its no slouch nor is it close to capacity.....
having had several conversations with bt they have admitted they have had many calls complaining about it and i have written them a strongly worded email.....as far as im concerned its no more reliable than a beta version at present......
i like the tab system but on the previous browser it was very straightforward to move bookmarked websites from one folder to another with just a few clicks....that feature doesnt appear to exist in the new browser meaning that if you want to move a bookmarked website from one folder to another you have to delete it from the folder its in, visit the website and save it into the new folder.....thats not progress in my view.....

Mine downloaded with no problems at all. As far as the organising of favourites goes, it's simpler than it was before. You get a pop up window, click on the file you want, and click edit to put it where you want.

hi whizwrinkly.....i had no problem downloading the program as i have 2mb broadband......all the problems have occurred when ive opened the browser.....
ive got the pop up window.....all i have as options are add folder, edit and delete.....previously there was an option called move......i dont see it here......nor do any of the bt helpline people for that matter.....
ive now dragged a website from one folder to another but its not clear at all.....why do these people make things less straightforward.....it was blatently obvious before what you had to do.....now its not.......
thanks for the advice anyway.....

I've already got the BT Yahoo! browser, I just want the version with tabbed browsing. I think that BT may have a CD for this. Madeline.

They may have, but they never mentioned it when they gave me the upgrade option by email.

I take it you do not have a Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical mouse, I have and cannot get the side buttons to work in BT Yahoo! browser, they do work in all other software including Internet Explorer, I have tried the latest driver with no joy, am in touch with BT but am getting nowhere, they will not accept they have a problem, any Ideas?

I don't use the BT Yahoo! software at all, it was very tiresome and I uninstalled it! I just use Firefox, Maxthon or Opera and have no problems at all. Madeline.

I don't like it and I choose not to use it unless I have to. Madeline.
