Internet Explorer wont browse
      #179604 - Sun Apr 17 2005 03:23 PM

I installed Service Pack two, after reinstalling windows and found that my wireless internet connection wasn't working because it had limited connection. So I uninstalled it, now however every other program I have can connect (I am currently using MSN Explorer) except internet explorer. I have set it to "Automaticly Detect Network Settings" and it has tried to detect the network settings but I still get an error page whenever I try to go to a webpage. I have even done a system restore with no avail. If you could help that would be great thanks.

How are you trying to connect to IE?

Is it via your IE icon on your desktop or in your quick launch bar? if so you may have a corrupt icon!

To check go to:

My Computer\C: Drive\ Program Files\Internet Explorer\D/Click IE icon.

Hopefully this will work, if so, return to above and R/Click\Copy\Paste to Desktop/Quick Launch bar.

Good luck.

Well after calling lots of helplines, in the end Microsoft INDIA were the ones who helped :S Thanks anyway, but I found it was the fact that zone alarm was not unintalled properly and left behind a few reg keys and the true vector internet monitor. Thanks for you're help though!
