Science website
      #179254 - Sat Apr 16 2005 09:50 AM

Hi everyone,

Thought I would post my website here to see if anyone can give me any tips on how to improve it- it has been getting a little better since I set it up around 4 months ago but now I've hit a bit of a wall!

www.ratlab.co.uk

The idea for the site was to try and spread my love of science to anyone who is interested in the world around us and how it works. Ratlab tries to be fun and educational at the same time, to get both kids and adults/big kids interested in science (very geeky, I know).

Any constructive critisism would be really appreciated,

Kat

I love it! Well written and interesting content, nice clean design and easy to navigate. That one's getting bookmarked.

Just had a look and thought that it was excellent. I certainly learned a few new things in the time I was on it. This is what the internet is all about, learning new stuff in an easy enjoyable way. I've bookmarked it so I can show my children whom I'm sure will get a lot of knowledge and enjoyment fron the site......WELL DONE BRILLIANT.

The only point I thought that the only point that maybe worth mentioning was your choice of font to background colour. I found some of the text a little difficult to read. Light text on a dark background or vica versa usually works best.

Great though. I like the paw prints, but does a rat have those shaped feet? ;)

Cheers,

Mark.

Ha ha, you're very observant- a rat has much longer, thinner paws but my attempts at drawing them all ended up looking like really creepy human hands so I thought I'd go for something simple. I'll check my colour schemes and sort them out. Thanks.
