i am trying to cancel my isp (willow internet). i am not tied by a contract period but i can't get of them to cancel. i have tried the numbers advertised (no answer, just answerphone) and tried writing.
How can you cancel this isp? they are jokers with no means on contact.

Keep a record of any letters sent to them (recorded delivery) How are you paying? If Direct debit cancel it. This way they will be in touch with yourself once they do then inform them you wish to cancel. Check your contract for anything it says. (clarify you are not on any contract) Or try emailing the managing director (nice name)
[read this here] if you suffer from insomnia. This works believe me.

If this is the company
Wired Sussex Third Floor Castle Square House 9 Castle Square Brighton BN1 1DZ info@wiredsussex.com [email]
then i cannot see much info about them so i wouldn't have signed up with them but like the other post says if you pay by DD then cancel it if you pay by credit card report it lost/stolen so the payments stop and send all correspondence by recorded delivery, tell them you are intending to cancel the payments and you should get a response.

I know this thread is quite old but felt i should add my experience having found this site because of them!
Its a very long story but basically they took 5 weeks to activate me, charged me double VAT for 5 months (£14.98 overpayed) ignored my letter informing them i was cancelling and then charged me another months billing so now owe me £36. I have now cancelled my debit card to stop it happening again.
After contacting ISPA it seems that now they and OFCOM are after them and believe they are in receivership, if they arent ISPA think OFCOM will fine them enough to put them in receivership. If the company do go under you need to contact OFCOM who have the authority to kick Willow off your line and free up your ADSL.
I think that going with Willow will have cost me approx £40-£50 by the end of it so i have learned my lesson, go with a huge company!

Willow Internet, what a bunch of cowboys!
I took an ADSL line in Nov 2003 with Rabbit broadband, who re-branded to Willow Internet in November 2004. At easter this year my connection failed and I have not been able to connect since. I have not been able to contact them on their helpline numbers and referred the matter to Ofcom 0207 981 3000, who have been helpful, but it is still not resolved 6 weeks on. Through some very persistent detective work in my part I managed to track down the director of Willow Internet - Michael Hunt and spoke to him on 20/4/05 and he kept apologising for the problems and assured me that he would order the cancellation of my line. He gave me his personal mobile number so I could contact him and I will now share that with you - 07837 720688. I have managed to speak to him earlier this week on that number, but now he has stopped answering. My line is still connected to Willow, and I am now dealing with Ofcom to try and resolve this dispute. I have stopped paying them, and would strongly advise anyone who may be considering using this company - DON'T.

Is his name really Mike Hunt?

Do you know that we're all in line for succession to the throne? Really? Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.

That's what I thought when I looked into Willow. (re my comment "nice name" in my post earlier in this thread). Could be his name for all we know, suspect he must get a lot of stick for it though,

LOL. It reminds me of that radio programme "Radioactive". It was a very funny programme about a radio station and one of their reporters was called Mike Hunt. Some of you may have heard it some years ago. Madeline.

You can listen to RadioActive right now by using the Listen Again feature of BBC Radio7 right here.

I can't, I'm on dial-up and DAB radios don't work here either. However, Radio 4 broadcast some of the RadioActive programs not long ago as it was their 25th anniversary, I think, so I taped them all. Um, this is somewhat off-topic, a mod will probably lock this thread soon! Madeline.

It still works on dial-up, you just need to increase the Real Player buffer size and the number of seconds before reporting an error .... and you're right, I will now stop waffling and close this thread.
