Do you specifically want the Google toolbar or to search using Google ? If the first you need to download an older version Maxthon doesn't support the latest version. If second option let me know and I'll explain.

Google Toolbar AutoFill

Searching with Google from search window before I changed the alias (note SteadySearch is set to *).

In Maxthon Options, Search tab, default is SteadySearch, highlight it and change the alias from * to SS, then highlight Google and change it's alias from g to * as shown. Whenever you search from the address bar, search bar or right click option it will always use Google.

You can use ieSpell with Maxthon. Have a look here. You'll see that it mentions MyIE, which is the old name for Maxthon. I've got ieSpell and it works fine in Maxthon and IE (on the rare occasions that I use the latter). It'll be installed in both browsers if you get it.

Thankyou for that, but i've already instaled this and it is ticked in IE plugin, but.... there is no button to it. or any sign that it is in Maxthon ( it appers in IE by the way,so I know its installed). What am I doing wrong?
And also does anybody know how to use the auto complete on Maxthon?
And please put me out of my misery here, what is the simple collector??

Click on an empty part of the toolbar and select Plugins Bar ieSpell should appear.
Autocomplete is A1 Roboform I think, had a look at it, didn't like it so on the odd occasions I need Autocomplete I revert to IE.
Simple Collector is what it says, it collects snippets you may like to save for later. I don't use it, I just open Notepad. I have one open all day to collect info and decide later if I need to keep it.

This is my current toolbar in Maxthon. The two green arrows are where I've moved Utilities and Plugins to. In Utilities I have My Computer/Notepad/Backgammon/HP Image Editor etc./HandySnap + HandySnap screenshots folder. In Plugins I have ieSpell/View Source/Flash Save 1.21

You actually right-click on an empty part of the Toolbar to put a tick in the Plugins Bar. Also, you can click on View and put a tick in Plugins Bar.

You're teasing me aren't you, ourstanley? Actually, when my husband did a word processing course, the tutor told him "if in doubt, right-click". My husband goes on and on about it, he only knows about word processing and right-clicking. All the same, it's very useful sometimes.
I'm glad you've got your spelling sorted out, Chappers1. All we need now is a grammar check!
