retaining i-pod tracks
      #176165 - Wed Apr 06 2005 04:14 PM

Hi,

I have just finished uploading 30 albums to my new 20GB i-pod. Although I had to format my PC's hard-disk because of a corrupt startup file. Therefore is there anyway that I can keep my existing tracks on my ipod, even though the same tracks will not be in the i-tunes music library??? Dont want to go through the whole CD process again.

Cheers.

As the files are still on the ipod, you should be able to get the songs back onto the pc.

itunes wont do it, but if you set the ipod up for disc use you may be able to copy the files that way.

Alternatively there look to be several programs that will copy music back to your pc.

This site has a good guide for you
