Hi all ,
I have a full version including all updates of Nero 6 which until recently worked a treat . Now for some reason everytime i put in a blank dvd+r disc it tells me to insert the correct disc , going on to state that it requires a writtable dvd+r/rw or dvd-r/rw and that the one inserted is a ......... writtable dvd+r !!!!!
Now i know that it's the right disc (as i've used tons of them before) and it would appear the Nero deep down knows they are right but just doesn't want to admit it . I've even tried using other brands of disc with the same results . every now and then it'll burn one but then next time it's the same message again .
Any help or advice gratefully appreciated .

Have you checked to see if Windows in-built burning software is enabled? Apparently it can clash with Nero.
To disable it, right-click your DVD writer in My computer.
Select Properties and then Recording tab.
Make sure there is no tick in the box next to "Enable CD recording on this drive"

Cheers mate will try it , thing that bugs me is that every now and then it'll be ok . If Nero plays up i use DVD Shrink to burn with the same disc in the same drive , it's just that it takes forever to do compared to Nero .
