Football Website Comments wanted
      #174837 - Fri Apr 01 2005 06:20 PM

I have been building this website for about 18 months .It has improved a great deal in that time and i would like comments please from other website builders. I have just got the .com name and I am looking at moving the site to 1&1 Any advice about that would be great also.
I have taught myself how to use the computer and how to do the website over the said 18 months so I am quite proud of it but i am always looking to improve it.

Hi,

first point - when I click on the 'enter site' link on the homepage, the url is:

file:///C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\My Webs\myweb\news.htm

The link should be linking to just the 'news.htm' page.

http://www.golborneeagles.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/news.htm

That means when anyone other than you sitting on your home pc looking at the site on your local computer clicks on that link, they won't get to the news page, as the link is to a file, and not a web page.

I think it might put of site visitors if they get to your homepage and then have to click another link to get to the content. I know that sounds silly, but in an age when everyone wants everything now, adding in more steps than are required could make your site more usable.

I found the spinning footballs to be a bit fast - they make me dizzy.

But the overall layout and navigation are well thought out and easy to use.
