Add a Search Engine
      #1732 - Thu Jun 26 2003 09:31 AM

HI,

Wondering if anyone can help.

I need to add a search engine to my website but I need the engine to be able to search Word Documents. Does anyone know of any search engine that can do this?

Cheers
MP

Perhaps you could convert your Word docs to adobe pdf files.

With http://www.atomz.com/ you are able to define which type of media you can search.

CONTENT TYPES
Specify which content types (PDF Documents, Macromedia Flash™ Movies, MP3 Music Files, etc.) will be crawled and indexed for this account. By default, only HTML and text files will be included.

Lots of PPC search engines will even let you make a little bit of cash by adding a search box to your web site. I know my search engine does.
