Hi and welcome,

I'm no expert so I can't give you any tips, but I like your site. I've read the book seen the film, heard it on the radio and have Jeff Wayne's album. Your site has a lot of interesting and informative stuff on it, although I couldn't spend as much time there as I'd have liked to, being on dial-up.
I'm sure other people will be able to be more constructive than me!

Madeline.

Hi - the site looks good - you have obviously put a lot of time and effort into it.

I thought the homepage looks busy, but maybe a little bit cluttered. I got a bit confused working out which heading related to which bit (where there are headings and images in the main table on the homepage).

I checked your forum (Saturday March 19th 0740am) and it was not available.

Also, the liberal use of very small font was a bit offputting for me - I've not got bad eyes! It's just a bit hard to read lots of information in a very small font (for me).

Also --- you can get pretty helpful feedback about your site here - it's another place like this where others review your site.

Thanks

I think this is an excellent site. It has a good look at tonnes of information, and comes at the theme of interest from several angles.

I have two small points:

1) The rollover images for the top nav are a little slow to load. Would you / could you consider using CSS for a rollover effect here?

2) I know the war of the worlds is stupidly popular, but I would love to see a site this nice come up a little higher in a google search for 'war of the worlds' - especially with an upcoming film!

I checked your keywords in the HTML and they're all great... Perhaps you could consider doing reciprocal links with other sites dedicated to the topic to boost search popularity...
You are wrong: 2 + 2 = 4.44352219. Please adjust your results accordingly

Thanks for your comments lucky chimp

I have a new Eve Of The War website launched on May 14th, so let me know what you think of that one...

Take care
