Web template/problem

Hello every one I am new into web user forum.
I want to use free templates which are avilable on the web. But when i dowload templates and try to open them they open up in pic view. Do i have to save web templates in any format? Can any one help how do i use web templates and how do i open them in Front page to use as my site.

Where are you trying to get these templates from. It depends on what type of template you are trying to download. If you have downloaded a flash template, then you will need macromedia flash to be able use it. If you downloaded it and tried to run it then it would look like an image format most likely. You need to download html files and then right click and open with, then choose Front page to open them. Hope that has helped, any more worries, don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks Asterix.... I have download some free templates but they are all in diffrent files. If i open in Front page there are diffrent files each file is a part of template eg buttons image and borders and i dont know how to link them to make one web site. i am sorry, hope i am making sence...do i have to save the templates or open it and then save it? I would be gratefull for any advice.

I'm presuming they came in a .zip file. Once you have extracted all the files, you will have to open the .html file that came with the package. That should have the code that joins together all the images and tells the web browser what to display. If you open the .html file with internet explorer you will get a normal webpage, with frontpage you should open up the web page ready to be edited.
Hope this is the correct information.
