Hi, I want to put some videos onto DVD but don't have any video input on my, otherwise fairly decent spec, PC - what should I do / buy. What I have is:
Analog video with SCART and RF outputs.
Win XP PC with no S Video or Composite inputs. It does have several USB and Firewire ports and spare PCI slots. It has InterVideo WinCreator2 installed.
I have a Sony DCR-PC120E camcorder with video in and something called i-DV out which could possibly help I don't know. There's no i-DV in socket on my PC.
Any advice much appreciated.

Have a read here
Basically, you are going to need to convert the signal from Analog to digital. How you do it is up to you and your budget.

Thanks RichieP, that was just the sort of article I'd been searching for with no joy.
So, sounds like I should use the camcorder to convert to digital and, now I have worked out that the i-DV out is really a Firewire port, I've ordered a cable so I can connect straight to my PC.
Just software to worry about now I guess. Intervideo WinDVD Creator came with my DVD writer, is that likely to do the job?

I assume you have a firwire port on your PC?
I've never used Intervideo, but if you run it and there is somewhere to capture from a DV camera you're sorted.
