Not sure about the "stills facility" I can connect the camera to the computer by firewire and play the video tape I just want to take still pictures from the video tape for a scrapbook.
If you can connect and run from the camera you are vitually home and dry. Most modern video cameras have a button that you can press whilst using the camera that freezes the picture. Have you got that?

The camera has slow motion and frame by frame playback and the pause button which stops the video tape but how do I capture an individual frame so I can print it out
Have you got Windows Movie Maker on your PC? If so you can use that to capture your video and then choose a point at which to stop the playback and take a snapshot of that particular frame.
